Earth Hour 8.30PM - Saturday 26 March 2011

Earth Hour is a global activity organized by the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature, also known as World Wildlife Fund) and held on the last Saturday in March every year who ask for homes and offices to turn off lights and electrical appliances are not necessary during one hour to raise awareness on the need for action on climate change. Earth Hour was sparked by the WWF and The Sydney Morning Herald in 2007 when 2.2 million Sydney residents participated with extinguish all unnecessary lights. After Sydney, many other cities around the world participated in 2008. Earth Hour 2011 will be held on March 26, 2011 at 20:30 until 21:30 local time.
